Steve Morin

Background

As with many great tales, the one behind Steve’s first foray into managing the flow of information and creating engaging media began at sea. As a journalist in the U.S. Navy, Steve sailed from port to port across the Mediterranean Sea, flew in all types of military helicopters, and escorted VIPs that included the likes of LIFE Magazine and CNN reporters, and former U.S. Secretary of State Madeleine Albright. After his service, Steve charted a new course in the nascent website-building industry of the late 1990’s where he began by digitizing physical slide decks into PowerPoint presentations and quickly taught himself coding languages like HTML, PHP, and SQL while adopting now-industry standard tools like Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.

The following decade was spent building websites, deploying email marketing campaigns, optimizing content for search engines, and deploying digital ad campaigns as the digital marketing industry grew around him. As the importance of digital media in contemporary marketing and communications has grown, so too has Steve’s expertise. Through a cadre of clients, he’s managed hundreds of sites over the years and become a bona fide expert on the WordPress content management platform.

Passions

When he’s finished rebuilding your website, Steve will be rebounding shots with his weekly basketball league or “cooking with the crooners” (i.e. Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra and Nat King Cole) and his two sons. While they might have differing definitions of “oldies,” Steve and his boys also share a love for British Invasion rock, MTV video hits of the 1980’s, and early tracks from iconic MC’s like Dre, Biggie, and ODB. He’s also the type of guy you’d want to be stuck on a deserted island with, and not just for his personable nature; Steve has participated in three Survivor-themed charity events, eating bugs, completing challenges, and sleeping outside in the name of fundraising and friendly competition.
