CLIENT: The Nature Conservancy

The Nature Conservancy engaged Cookson Communications to run a focused PR campaign to support investments they were making on issues affecting conservation including climate change, population growth and increased demand for food and water. We aligned this work with their $40 million Future of Nature fundraising campaign to increase visibility within the communities where projects were taking place.

Public relations and communications

We created an earned media campaign that included creating local events to highlight seven local projects and were able to gain local media placements for each effort. Media hits included local placements and statewide through television and radio.

Our messaging was carefully crafted to align with the Future of Nature campaign and expand awareness of this effort in specific communities. The campaign reached its $40 million goal on schedule and the staff at the Nature Conservancy believed the extra earned media boosted the overall effort.
