Remote work was the norm for a few already, but with the changes in 2020, it’s now become the reality for many employers and employees.
Although working remotely has its benefits (flexible work and short commutes), it can leave employees feeling out of touch and disengaged as they lose face-to-face interaction with their peers and supervisors.
As remote working has become mainstream, it’s critical to have an internal communication strategy that builds in two-way interaction, accounts for gaps and most importantly includes employee feedback.
