Cookson Communications Hires Jason Boucher as Director of Social Marketing

Manchester, N.H. (July 25, 2023) – Cookson Communications – a visibility-focused communications agency with expertise in public relations, social media, marketing, design, and branding – welcomes Jason Boucher as the newest member of its growing team. With over two decades of experience in social media marketing and information technology, Boucher will serve as the lead on all social marketing efforts creating compelling content that will grow the digital footprint and enhance social awareness in a virtual world. As the director of social marketing, Boucher will contribute to the growth of the Cookson Communications team and resources to serve its expanding clientele.

For the past 18 years, the Granite State-native worked at the University of New Hampshire (UNH) serving as the communications director of social media for the past 11 years. In this role, he was tasked with developing and managing the university’s social media strategy and measuring engagement. During his time, he expanded the University’s image online, increased brand equity and awareness and promoted the university’s mission through all social media platforms. For seven years prior, he worked at UNH as an information technologist handling a variety of technology needs university wide. Boucher earned an Advanced Social Media Strategies certificate from Syracuse University in 2014. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Franklin Pierce University and will earn an MBA from UNH in 2024. He currently resides in Portsmouth, N.H. He enjoys music and is the host of The Music Report, an online freeform radio show heard on Soundwaves.
